LAST QUARTER AS GRADE 10 STUDENT

Image
LAST QUARTER AS GRADE 10 STUDENT      This is my last quarter as a Grade 10 student, and I appreciated our school's topic because, after two years, I had already experienced face-to-face learning. Our fourth quarter topic is developing web pages in Microsoft Frontpage, and I can honestly tell that I had a lot of fun creating my own CBR web page with my classmates in our computer lab. I learned how to make a website, how to design it, and how to put hyperlink to it.      I enjoyed making my own website, however I had some difficulties doing it. I had trouble finding my site files in our computer lab and re-creating my web page since someone else had them, but as a student, I was able to finish it because my classmates assisted me in re-creating it.      Moving on, I will apply what I've learned in the future and will never forget the experiences I had at school with my classmates, friends, and our ICT teacher. Even though we only had ...

PROTECT OUR EATH

Image
PROTECT OUR EATH      Our planet is lovely; God has blessed us with pure nature, gorgeous landscapes, and a healthy environment, but people continue to desecrate it. Pollution of many types, deforestation, excessive use of plastics, storms, and numerous other environmental issues are all present. Scientists regularly warn us, yet we ignore them, continuing to ruin our environment and failing to take action to heal our earth.      How can we protect our mother beautiful planet, even if we make small sacrifices? We were gifted with magnificent scenery, unusual animals, and a great atmosphere, yet everything has been mistreated thus far. So, even if we don't have much expertise or experience with our environment, we may still help to save our planet today. This is as simple as turning off outlets we don't use, deleting needless emails, and using reusable bags and tumblers instead of plastics. If plastics are inevitable, collect them and give them to b...

ILAW NG ATING TAHANAN      Mother's Day is a holiday commemorating a family's or individual's mother, as well as maternity, maternal relationships, and mothers' influence in society. It is observed on various days around the world, most notably in the months of March and May. Similar festivities celebrating family members, such as Father's Day, Siblings Day, and Grandparents' Day, are mostly driven by commercial interests.      Mother's Day is an international holiday commemorating the respect, honor, and love that people have for their moms. The day is dedicated to honoring mothers' contributions, as well as the efforts of maternal connections and the role of mothers in our society.   TALENT, TIME AND EFFORT      Binatbatan Festival in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur is one of the feasts in Ilocos Sur that is highly entertaining, cultural, and traditional, which is why many people participate in activities such as Binatbatan Festival street dancing, dance hiphop performance, and many more. But today, we're talking about the Binatbatan Festival of the Arts, a tapestry of culture and the arts weaved by a miracle. To begin, what is the Binatbatan Festival? Why are we commemorating it? What are the most crucial things to remember when entering this competition? Who are the participants in this competition? And, most significantly, what is/are the contest's purpose(s)?      Apo Lakay of the Simbaan a Bassit, who saved Vigan from a devastating disease in 1756. It has now evolved into the most colorful and major celebration in Bigueos, focusing on the commemoration of Apo Lakay's deliverance as well as the promotion of the local fabric, Abel Iloc...

WE ARE ALL EQUAL

Image
WE ARE ALL EQUAL International Women's Month is observed throughout the month of March. It is a celebration to recognize women's accomplishments and to discuss ongoing and developing women's empowerment and gender equality topics, concerns, challenges, and commitments, as well as for wome n to achieve the equality and respect they require, just as they do for men. They are also commemorating this month to demonstrate how significant women are in our society and how powerful they are. As a woman, I have faced or witnessed many inequalities in my life, as well as discrimination that what men do is preferable to what women do. While legal equality in the workplace is a reality in many nations, genuine equality between men and women remains a long way off. In this sense, change is gradual, much like applying for jobs, because in real life, leaders in all fields refuse to admit women because others believe they cannot afford to work, in other words women's jobs generally...

APPRECIATING OUR COMMUNITY

Image
Appreciating our Community      Since our topic today is community-based research, which means getting to know our community or the place where we sleep or build our house, I learnt a lot this quarter. We were given tasks to identify or research our community, which was beneficial to me because, despite the fact that I grew up here and continue to live here, I will acknowledge and admit that I still know very little about our town.  I also learned a lot about our place's history through the tasks we were given, such as how our community got its name, if it was conquered by the Spaniards, what happened here in ancient times, what are the religious beliefs, food products, places to visit, the history of barangays and sitios, and much more. Also as a result of doing so, I developed a fascination or interest in learning more about what is important to know in our area, which has aided me in conducting this research appropriately, pleasantly, and with love i...
