TOWARDS A MORE RESILIENT PHILIPPINES

TOWARDS A MORE RESILIENT PHILIPPINES

The Philippines is a stunning country with numerous tourist attractions, lovely scenery, and kind people. However, there are many hidden difficulties in this country, despite its attractiveness. You may learn about the Philippines' causes, responses, and difficulties here. As a student and a Filipino, I can also express my thoughts on how we in the Philippines are able to survive or recover swiftly from challenging situations or problems in the Philippines.

There are numerous issues in the Philippines, and if you search the internet, you will find and learn a great deal about them. First, poverty is a concern in the Philippines, with corruption being a contributing factor. Low economic growth, a weak agricultural sector, rising population rates, and a high level of inequality are among the key causes of poverty among Filipinos. Second is Corruption, according to studies, the size and structure of governments, democracy and the political system, the quality of institutions, economic freedom/openness of the economy, and civil service wages are the key factors of corruption. Third, teenage pregnancy is a multifaceted issue with many contributing factors such as poverty, gender inequalities, gender-based violence, substance abuse, poor contraceptive access, and issues with pregnancy termination; low, inconsistent, and incorrect contraceptive use; limited number of healthcare providers. Fourth, the Philippines has not yet returned to normal as a result of COVID-19; one reason for this is the Filipinos' stubbornness in not following the safety protocol correctly and continuing to leave their homes; some doctors have already given up on Covid-19 patients due to fatigue; and there is theft going on that was committed by other authorities as a result of the pandemic.

I have not discussed all of the Philippines' challenges, but I believe the best solution is for Filipinos to vote for a good leader. Election 2022 is nearing, and many people are already debating who to vote for. It's also a good opportunity to hear their thoughts on who we should vote for because it's about and it’s for our country. We need a good leader, someone who is intelligent and capable of leading our country and improving the Philippines. We also need a strong leader who can provide jobs for the unemployed and find ways to reduce Philippine expenditures such as electricity and food.
A leader and government officials who will not steal and invest the people's money in their own personal accounts.

We also need to include sex education for teenagers like myself in order to prevent teenage pregnancy. And, because the pandemic isn't done yet, we need a leader who will make it a priority to add doctors and nurses to hospitals, as well as things for patients to use. To lift the Philippines, we need not only strong leaders, but also good citizens. We Filipinos, too, require strong communication, discipline, and teamwork, as well as the willingness to assist one another in improving people's livelihoods. We Filipinos must choose wisely who we vote for and exercise discipline in order to better grow our country. Let us all work together to make our country run better.
